THE POSITION PAPER

In the past 50 years, Syria has been a popular nation, not for its economy or or sights, but for the violence that resides here. We have had to have wars with countries like Israel. There have been riots resulting in the deaths of many civilians. Men have gone as far as attempting to assassinate president Assad.

The government has struggled lately to address the current economy decline which include rising budgets and trade deficit. The ongoing conflict and continued unrest and economic decline worsened the humanitarian crisis. The things that are going on in our country lately is drastically affecting our country daily. We have lost millions in the civil war and it has affected the economy in such a high level. There a thousands of jobs that need to be taken care of and we keep losing our people to help the economy. The Syrian rebels are causing so many deaths lately and if the amount of refugees keep growing we won’t have a way to prosper with our economy. In order to prosper to have a successful economy we will need to achieve peace and justice. With peace and justice everything can go back to normal and all the jobs will be taken care of. With peace and justice our country will be able to prosper and help the syrian people.

The bombings in Syria is causing the people of syria to fear for their lives. The Syrian Rebels are also using chemical weapons on the people. In 2013 they use a chemical weapon containing Sarin, which is deadly. The hospital bombings are also making the syrian people not want to go to hospital to seek medical help because they don’t want to in the middle of a bombing. The syrian people are leaving Syria seeking safety and help in other countries causing the refugee crisis.

The civil war is causing our population to go down, as millions of Syrians have fled their homes. Large numbers of people are going to other countries as refugees. If this keeps up we could eventually become no more than one city. We are spending large amounts of money trying to rebuild, and fight back. We need help, and Russia, at the moment, is our only hope.

The government has tried multiple times to suppress these significant issues. Protests that took place during March 2011 asked for prisoners to be released. We have tried to negotiate with the protestors. We have tried putting the rebels and extremists into detention, but we have had to use extreme measures like using armed forces and heavy artillery.

As people of Syria, we know that we need to create peace. The only way to create peace is to end the civil war against Islamic Extremists, and Rebels. But there is no way we can do it alone! We will need help from our allies in Russia. All we want is peace, justice, and making our people feel safe.
